One Tuesday Jeremy got off work early and so we went to the beach. It was nice to be able to go on a weekday and get some sun!
My friend Becca from ACU came to the island with her family and fiance for Spring Break. I got to meet up with her for lunch on Thursday and it was so much fun to be able to hang out with someone from ACU and catch up on what's going on! I loved being able to see her! Thanks for going to lunch with me Becca!
Sunday we went to a wedding on the beach. The couple was from the mainland and called our church to find a preacher. Our friend Bill did the wedding and we were the witnesses. It was really nice.
On Friday Jeremy got off work really early and we spent the day running errands. That night we went to a famous steakhouse called Buzz's and it was really good. We also went to this ice cream place where you get a HUGE bowl. Then there are about 12 different yogurt flavors and you get to fill your bowl with any kinds you want. Then there is every kind of topping imagined and you put whatever you want on your ice cream. Then they weigh it and you pay by weight. It's AWESOME! I love putting tons of toppings on mine and not having to pay for each one individually.
It was also our 9 month anniversary and I really wanted some cake so I made a cake and decorated it quickly!
Saturday we had a mandatory family fun day for Jeremy's battalion. It was a cookout and they had activities for the kids. About halfway through a huge fire broke out behind where they were preparing the food. All the firetrucks came and we stood and watched as they put it all out. It was in the area where they are building new houses so it was a bunch of wood and stuff so it got pretty big. It at least made the mandatory event interesting and no one was hurt. We also look like lobsters because we got sunburned. My neck is bright red and so is Jeremy's face...not good.

Sunday morning we went to church at Pearl Harbor church of Christ just to visit. It was great and everyone was really nice. We met up with a friend Allyson who we knew from Junior Scholars at ACU and her husband and went to eat with them and their friends. It was really great to hang out with people our age who are Christians. We are planning on hanging out with them again this weekend for a bbq.
We have our guests back with us for a few days in between their trips to the other islands. I have a job interview tomorrow at a bank here on base so hopefully that goes well!
Other than that we have just been working on our garden, enjoying walks and runs, doing things at church, and enjoying the nicer weather we are starting to get.
